    Questions

Questions about an AI receptionist for dental practices & clinics

What does the AI receptionist do with urgent calls outside opening hours?

Whatever you set up in advance: usually transferring to the dentist on call, or giving the number of the emergency or weekend service. The assistant never diagnoses and gives no medical advice. It recognises that a complaint sounds urgent and makes sure the patient reaches someone who can help.

Is an AI receptionist allowed to process patient data?

Yes, within the GDPR: the practice is the controller, ClientAssist is the processor, and the data processing agreement is automatically part of your contract. We delete call content after 90 days; shorter is possible. What we store is in the EU; some of our subprocessors are in the US under the Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses. Our advice: have the assistant ask only what the appointment needs — name, phone number, type of appointment — and not complaints in detail, because that is health data.

Can the assistant book appointments in our practice system?

A calendar connection is always included; a connection to practice software is custom work. Request a proposal for it and you'll see the cost up front. Without that connection the assistant notes the request, and the call summary is ready for your team.

Do patients know they are talking to an AI?

Yes, always. Right after the greeting the assistant says the patient is speaking to an AI assistant and that the call is recorded. That is required under the EU AI Act and the GDPR, and we enforce it technically. If a patient wants to speak to someone at the practice, the assistant transfers the call.

What does it cost for dental practices & clinics?

€99 per month, plus the minutes your assistant actually spends on calls. No bundles and no minimum. A one-time €99 for setup.
